Former frontman of Tasmanian band, 'The Talk, Timothy Slater has played to packed houses and supported bands like Split Enz, Australian Crawl and The Divinyl's. He has released two independent albums and also toured America with Sydney Gospel Artist, Tony Backhouse performing in Memphis, Chicago and New York.

Together with his band, The Faithful (which includes ex-members of Larry Malumba and Kalimba, Relax with Max and Dylanesque), Timothy will perform a selection of his own compositions and the band's interpretation of select covers in the rock and soul genres.

Born from a love of Americana, Gospel, Blues and Country. The bands draws inspiration from travels through North America's musical heartland of Austin, Memphis and Nashville. Drawing from the rich musical culture, the experience helped fashion who  Dear Buffalo are.

A line up that delivers much through three part harmonies, heartfelt lyrics and tender melodies. Dear Buffalo will hold you close, lull you gently and soothe you in that old rockin chair.

Melbourne’s own Peter Freebairn and his band, Radio Vertigo, recently rocked The Post Office Hotel with tracks from his debut solo album, Silhouettes and Cigarettes. Due to the overwhelming response, we’re excited to have them back on Saturday, 19th October! They’ll be performing songs from the new album, along with selections from his earlier work and Radio Vertigo’s catalogue.

After their set, Peter will team up with Dave Dharumasena on bass and Paul Boyle on drums for a night of classic songs including The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, and Johnny Cash.

The Agents of Reverb play guitar-twangin, surf and spy/detective themes, instro shakers, rockabilly, R&B and soul. Featuring Agent Yaroslav (Philip Yarra) on Guitar & Vocals, Agent Molotov (Edgar Chrystal) on Bass, Agent Fireball 5XL (Steve Phillips) on Drums and Agent Bourne (Harold Bourne) on Organ/Keyboard & SFX. Fuzzrays and Hot Tubs Time Machine team up once again on the eve of January 26th to raise some funds for the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung Cultural Heritage Council and the Coranderrk Mission.

Hot Tubs will begin the evening with a rollercoaster of laughter, tears, bliss and every other overwhelmingly positive emotion a human can feel. Fuzzrays will then close the night with a wall of unfiltered sound that'll at points maybe make you uncomfortable, but they'll bring it back round.

Mount Kujo are coming to the Post Office Hotel on the 22nd of December for their final Naarm show of the year and rumor has it they’ll be dropping some l unreleased tunes off their second studio album set to be released in early 2024.

Powerful, dynamic and highly energetic; Mount Kujo is a Naarm (Melbourne) based act blending Funk, Jazz, Latin and Afro-beat. The Low Down Big Band is back at the Post Office Hotel in Brunswick. If you didn't catch their first show at the Post Office this year, now's your chance! As the party season starts to heat up, there’s one party you shouldn’t miss, a night of top class Jamaican music on December the 15th when Johnny Longshot brings it’s brand of old school Jamaican classics to the Post Office Hotel playing Ska, Early Reggae and their lesser-known cousin Rocksteady. They take their inspiration and repertoire from the decade from 1960 to 1970 and includes classic hits and originals grounded in the style. Coming from a variety of backgrounds from Ska to Rock to R&B and playing with such luminaries as The Melbourne Ska Orchestra and the Ska Vendors, Johnny Longshot share a love of Jamaican Music and can groove a dance floor with the best. The Hornets, author, singer-song writer and guitarist Craig Horne, ARIA Hall of Fame guitarist Jeff Burstin (Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons and Black Sorrows) , ARIA winner and keyboardist Bruce Haymes (Paul Kelly, Archie Roach, you name it) plus Yuri Pavlinov on bass and Chris Tabone on drums will play a set of Bob Dylan’s humorous material at a special Sunday show. Big League have been serving as one of the finest purveyors of indie-rock on the scene these last few years. Created over loungeroom recordings by husband & wife team Travis & Marie, the endearing quartet have fast found a name for themselves not just at home, but abroad as well.

2022 was the band's busiest year, with tours at home and in the USA. The band's second visit to the USA had them playing to packed rooms while enjoying regular airplay on college radio, ending with their second album A Symbol Like A Cloud appearing on the yearly Top 100 lists of several stations. 2023 has seen them back in the studio, recording album number 3 (due for release early 2024), and playing gigs that have showcased the band at the top of their game with a fresh batch of songs

With 4 albums under the belt, and new tunes on the way, Brissie indie rockers The Valery Trails are bringing plenty down south this December.

After almost a decade of operation as a transcontinental project, with members separated by an ocean, guitarist/vocalist Andrew Bower returned from Houston, Texas to his hometown of Brisbane Australia in 2020, joining his brother Sean Bower (bass) and Dan McNaulty (drums).

Their latest release The Sky is Blue, was warmly received on both sides of the Pacific, charting on US specialty and college radio and with strong support from Australian community radio.

MISS LIZZY & THE NIGHT OWLS play at the POST OFFICE HOTEL for the first time, on a summer Sunday arvo in the bar room – 3rd December.

MISS LIZZY & THE NIGHT OWLS are a booty-shaking powerhouse inspired by vintage Rock, Blues and Soul with a serving of Pop on the side. Led by the superb talent of Miss Lizzy on the vocals, this funky band of musicians fill dancefloors with infectious grooves, soaring melodies and heartfelt lyrics. By blending their love of various styles of music dating all the way back to the early 1900’s piano-driven boogie woogie, Miss Lizzy and her Night Owls captivate audiences with original music that uplifts and nourishes the spirit. Dodda Rivka and Dan Cross Band play a free show, Saturday December 2 nd at 9pm at Post Office Hotel. The group Dodda Rivika, who are led by Becky May Solomons, last album was ‘One for the Funeral’, describe their song River of Stars “a hybrid of mythology about the soul journey beyond the body linked with my lifelong obsession with the milky way”.

Dan Cross Band’s last release was ‘Best Home Variety’. They three-piece play folk/pop songs that are surface deep but sometimes have a humorous way with words. It will be a night of great music that will stir your spirit.

The Seben Brothers come back to The Post Office Hotel after their stunning premier at the venue kast May. Toros is a guitar led trio with a strong focus on improvised music-making inspired from the jazz idiom.  Playing a mix of original tunes, jazz standards and classic folk songs, the ensemble plays with energy and bounce.  This is contrasted with ambient soundscapes edging towards a free music making approach.  The group has been experimenting with new approaches to time, innovating new ways to attack the music.
